Our Committees
Bronx Individual & Family Support Committees
The Bronx individual & family Support Committee merged with the Bronx State Advisory Council in order to expand membership, expertise and knowledge to families and professionals. Now as The Bronx Individual and Family Support Committee, our goal is to advocate and help families access a broad array of supports, services and resources to promote the well-being of families and their children with special needs.
Adult Day & Residential Committee
Adult Day & Residential Committee:
These services range from 24-hour supervised homes, some with clinical staff, to semi-supervised apartments for more independent individuals.
Adult Day Services and Supported Employment which can include day treatment programs, day habilitation, sheltered employment, supported work and vocational training.
Care Coordination & Health Services Committee
Care Coordination & Health Comm provides supports through an experienced and knowledgeable service coordinator who advocates for the family and helps them to access needed services Supports may include in-home and out-of-home respite, crisis intervention, counseling and access to recreation activities. The Committee helps access general medical and clinical services which might include PT, OT, Speech Therapy, physiatry, specialized dentistry, durable medical equipment and social work.
